Trump promised during his campaign to move the embassy, a policy embodied both in federal law and the Republican Party platform. But since he came into office, Trump’s promise seems to have lost some momentum. Ron DeSantis' office in Washington that the event mentioned below is scheduled to take place on June 7th, 2017, and that it is by invitation only. And sadly, we were also able to confirm that it is "highly likely" and a "very safe bet" that President Trump will follow in the footsteps of Obama, Bush and Clinton and sign the waiver on Thursday June 2nd delaying the transfer of the US Embassy to Jerusalem. Keep your promise, President Trump, and move that embassy to Jerusalem now!  The Knesset and the Congress will jointly mark 50 years since the reunification of Jerusalem in an event scheduled to be broadcast on live video link between the two legislatures next Tuesday. The move could be viewed as tacit recognition by the White House of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and spark controversy. Sources told The Jerusalem Post that either President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pence will participate in the event on Capitol Hill, alongside Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, its host. In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein will take part from the Knesset. All members of Knesset and both houses of Congress have been invited to the event, which was organized by Ambassador to the US Ron Dermer. Celebrating 50 Years of Jerusalem's Reunification in Congress: While the US does not officially recognize Israeli sovereignty in the parts of Jerusalem that Israel liberated in 1967, White House participation in the event could be viewed as tacit acknowledgment of Israel’s position regarding Jerusalem. The event comes after Trump became the first sitting US president to visit the Western Wall during his trip here last week but held back from making any mention of Jerusalem Day, celebrated the day after he left the country. The event comes along with a strong push from Jerusalem to recognize the city as Israel’s capital. Netanyahu called on the US and all other countries to move their embassies in Israel to Jerusalem. Education Minister Naftali Bennett and Jerusalem Affairs Minister Ze’ev Elkin both asked Trump to recognize the capital during his visit to Israel last week. While Trump did neither of those things, he mentioned the millennia of Jewish history in Jerusalem during his address at the Israel Museum. source

Russia Successfully Tests ‘Unstoppable’ Hypersonic Weapon That Travels At Mach 6 Speed Of 4,600MPH by Geoffrey Grider Russia has launched five successful flights of a hypersonic jet that is capable of destroying an aircraft carrier with a single impact, according to a new report. The Zircon cruise missile travels between 3,800mph and 4,600mph - five to six times the speed of sound - and puts Russia 'half a decade' ahead of the US', the report says. This makes it faster than any anti-missile system, including those that are expected to appear in the next two decades. Russian military analyst Vladimir Tuchkov said: 'In Russia, the testing of actual weapons is already underway. 'It is expected to be added into Russia's arsenal between 2018 and 2020', he told state media outlet Sputnik. 'A speed of Mach 6 is more than enough of a guarantee to overcome any anti-missile system', he said. Experts warn the 'unstoppable' projectiles could spell disaster for the Navy's £6.2 billion ($7.9 billion) aircraft carriers, the HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales. The US spends almost $600 billion (£469 billion) a year on its defence budget and boasts the most powerful military in the world. However, its 19 aircraft carriers would be powerless to stop Zircon cruise missile missiles, according to the report. That would make it impossible for the carrier's jets and helicopters to reach their target, carry out their mission, and return without running out of fuel - effectively rendering them useless. 'This includes not only systems that exist today, but those expected to appear over the next two decades. 'The results that the Americans reached in 2013 were achieved, and even exceeded, by the Soviet Union a long time ago', he said. The weapon could be fitted to nuclear-powered cruiser Pyotr Velikiy as soon as 2018, Russian state media reports. It can be fired from land, sea and submarines carrying payloads ranging from high explosive to nuclear. 'American scientists and engineers will have to strain every nerve just to avoid lagging too far behind Russia in this area', said Mr Tuchkov. The Zicron uses Scramjet technology which mixes fuel with air and allows it to burn at hypersonic speeds. That means the projectile can travel at astonishing speeds - covering 155 miles in 2.5 minutes, which is faster than a sniper's bullet. The setback is just the latest in a long line of problems with the Royal Navy's new carriers after a report earlier this month found they were beset with technical issues, facing delays and could go over-budget. source

Margaret Court won 11 Australian Open singles titles

Margaret Court has said "tennis is full of lesbians", following a row over her earlier remarks on gay marriage.

Australian Court, a 24-time Grand Slam singles champion and now a Christian pastor, also said that transgender children were the work of "the devil".

The 74-year-old caused controversy when she said she would not fly on Qantas "where possible" in protest at its support of same-sex marriage.

"When I was playing there was only a couple [of lesbians]," Court said.

"But those couple that led took young ones into parties and things. What you get at the top is often what you'll get right through that sport."

Speaking to Vision Christian Radio she added: "We're there to help them overcome. We're not against the people."

Australian Open venue Margaret Court Arena was renamed after the 11-time winner in 2003, and Tennis Australia said earlier in the week that the name would not be changed.

The body has distanced itself from the row, stating that Court's views are a personal matter.

Grand Slam winners Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King have called for her name to be stripped from the venue at Melbourne Park. Former world number four Sam Stosur hinted that players might refuse to play at the arena at next year's tournament and on Wednesday said they were united in their condemnation of Court.

"I think that's all pretty crazy stuff," said 33-year-old Australian number one Stosur.

"It's pretty obvious that the whole tennis community out here has pretty much the same opinion and we're going to all stand by that."

World number one Andy Murray said at the French Open on Tuesday he hoped the issue could be resolved long before next year's Australian Open.
